The Nature Club of Siena College of Professional Studies has always been committed to sensitizing its students on issues relating to environmental degradation. Thus it encourages its members to be pro-active towards sustainable development in their given milieu.
The Nature Club of Siena College of Professional Studies consists of a dedicated group of students who are not there just to wear a badge, and get an extra tick on their report card. With more than a hundred and fifty members, the Nature Club of Siena College of Professional Studies embodies passion for and devotion to Mother Nature and Her creations.
Nature club celebrated “World Environment Day” on 5th June 2018. With “Beat Plastic Pollution” as the theme for this year’s edition. Nature club organised a poster competition based on “Beat Plastic Pollution” for the students of Siena College. The competition was done to spread awareness regarding different environmental problems and how to save the environment.
Planting of flowering plants is a regular practice of Nature Club. A flower garden was set up by students under the supervision of Nature Club. Seedlings were planted by the students of Nature Club in the college garden. Plans are made to convert this flower garden to a butterfly garden.
The proposed slogan of Nature Club is “SIENA CAMPUS – GREEN CAMPUS”. Proposed activities also include setting up a vegetable garden in the campus premises.
