In Pursuit of Excellence

The department provides and supports robust environment for teaching and learning through integrated technology for effectiveness and efficiency. It aims at designing, developing programs and training students to perform tasks related design and management in every field of Information Technology. The main objective of the department is to impart a solid basic knowledge, a sound scientific background and widespread technical application skills to ensure immediate entry into the industry. Considering the fact that the Computer Science Graduates are heavily recruited the department fabricates its students to achieve their apt career in high technology companies.

Courses Offered and Qualification for Admission

Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA - Six Semesters)
Qualification: Candidates passed Pre-degree / +2 equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Computer Science as optional under Part III
Bachelor of Information Technology (B.Sc. IT - Six Semesters)
Qualification: Candidates passed Pre-degree / +2 equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Computer Science as optional under Part III
M.Sc. Computer Science
B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics / Computer Science / Electronics / IT as one of the subjects under Part III Core Group (Core + Complementary + Open Courses) with not less than CGPA of 2.00 out of 4 or BCA with not less than CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.
B.Sc. degree with Mathematics / Computer Science / Electronics / IT as one of the subjects under Part III (Main / Core + subsidiaries / Complementaries) with not less than 50% marks or BCA with not less than 50% marks. B Tech with not less than 50% marks in mathematics (aggregate of all mathematics papers and a total of 50% for the entire course)
Candidates having Degree in Computer Science / Computer Application / Electronics shall be given a weightage of 20% marks in the qualifying degree examinations.

C Lab
This lab provides an exposure to middle level languages and brings out the analytical and programming ability to the students
Data Structure Lab
This lab emphasis on the programming basics that would mould the students a better or efficient programmer
RDBMS
This lab deals with basic back end programming that enables students to understand the need for database.
Microprocessor Lab
Facilities provided for the students for various application program using various kits

System Programming
This operating systems lab enables students to understand the basics of operating system an computer architecture. This lab enables students to develop applications.
Computer Graphics & Image Processing
Computer graphics lab is an introduction to multimedia programming. This lab is an application of various multimedia
Communication & INTERNET Programming lab
Communication lab provides exposure to Java programming. This lab provides facility to develop software and experiments related to internet technology (Java, HTML, XML, Web Technologies etc)


Projects
Facilities provides for student to develop various application software for development, various development tools for design, testing, coding and maintanance. Providing all aspects of Software Engineering.
